Important Trip Information

Are Your Reservation and Identification Details Correct?

Incorrect traveller information can lead to fees to change your reservation or to problems while travelling. To avoid costs or problems, be sure to check your reservation documents carefully to ensure your reservations are correct. Please ensure the details for EACH TRAVELER are correct, as applicable to your reservation:

☐Name on documents is traveler's legal name and is spelled correctly, as given on the VALID government-issued form of ID to be used at the airport. Passenger's date of birth is correct.

☐ Flight, train or other transportation details are correct. Check dates, times, departure and arrival cities.

☐ Hotel details are correct, including hotel name, room details, check-in date and check-out date.

☐ Be sure each traveller has the correct documents for your reservation and your documents are valid, as required by the Government of Canada and your destination country. Details about the documents you responsible to have are found at https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/documents.

  • Canadians travelling outside Canada are generally required to have a valid Canadian passport.
  • Many destinations require that your passport is valid for at least six months after you return home, and that it has two (2) or more empty pages for visa stamps.
  • A consent letter is generally required for children traveling outside Canada without both parents.
  • Many countries require ether visas or Electronic Travel Authorizations (eTAs). Some people need an eTA to re-enter Canada (e.g., if travelling on a foreign passport. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure they have all the proper documentation.   • Travel insurance must be purchased within the requirements of the insurer. For pre-existing medical conditions you may need to buy your travel insurance within specific date periods.
  • If you choose not to purchase medical insurance, you will be asked to sign a waiver that says you were offered insurance and declined it.
