As part of her tourism consulting business, our Marketing Director Judy Karwacki gives public presentations and workshops to help expand understanding of sustainable tourism. Judy will be among the Featured Speakers at the International Institute for Peace through Tourism’s World Symposium honoring the legacies of Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. The symposium also celebrates IIPT’s 25th Anniversary of World Peace through Tourism and will be held February 16 to 19, 2015, in Johannesburg, South Africa https://www.iiptsymposium.com. Judy’s sessions will present case studies from her work in tourism development, and will features models of community tourism in Palestine and indigenous tourism in Belize.

Judy’s other recent presentation activities have included:

·       In October she acted as a mentor and presenter in the “AdventureEDU Adventure Travel Mentor” session at the Adventure Travel Trade Association’s Adventure Travel World Summit in Killarney, Ireland.

·       In August she presented a session on “Experiential Community Tourism” at the Adventure Travel Trade Association-Visit Mexico Adventure Tourism Mexico (ATMEX) conference in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.

·       In July she acted as a panel moderator for the 2014 Caribbean Tourism Organization-Centre for Responsible Travel (CTO-CREST) Executive Symposium for Innovators in Coastal Tourism in St. George’s, Grenada.
